MiningNL Luncheon, AGM, & Call for Nominations

Mining Industry NL is hosting a luncheon followed by our Annual General Meeting on Wednesday, April 17, 2019 in Salon A, Capital Hotel, St. John’s, Kenmount Road.

Registration is open at 11:30 am, with guests seated for the luncheon service for noon. The AGM will follow at 1:30 p.m.

The luncheon is open to members and non-members who wish to attend.

Participation at the AGM is reserved for current Mining Industry NL members. As a reminder, annual membership fees are due and payable prior to the AGM.

Call for Nominations for the Board of Directors

Mining Industry NL is seeking nominations this year for two (2) Partner Member firms to offer a representative to stand for election and serve on the Board of Directors.

Partner members seeking nomination are Mining Industry NL corporate entities directly involved in mineral resource exploration, mine development or mine production, and who are in good standing with the association.

Please note: there is no call this year for nominees to stand for the Business Member position i.e., supply and professional services firms, educational institutions or other organizations.

Upon election, directors serve a three-year term. Nominations will be accepted between April 3, 2019 and April 15, 2019 (noon). Nominations will not be entertained after that period or from the floor of the AGM. Nominees are asked to provide:
A picture (jpeg format suitable for email or web distribution
A brief bio which outlines their qualifications and interest in serving on the Board of Directors

Following the end of the nomination period, candidate profiles will be circulated to all members in good standing with voting held at the AGM.
