Mining Industry NL proudly congratulations two prominent people in our industry who were recipients of awards at PEG NL’s recent conference. Bob Kelly, P.Geo., General Manager of the Duck Pond Mine and a Director of Mining Industry NL received an Award of Merit, while Dr. Lawrence Winter, P.Geo., Vice President of Exploration for Altius Minerals was the recipient of an Early Accomplishment Award.

We also extend congratulations to Norm Mercer, recently retired from the Mines Branch after a long career, who was the recipient of a 2011 Public Service Award of Excellence.
